Work Over Pictures

Here are some more recent photos of my workover rig. I hope you enjoy the photos.

Thursday, January 8, 2009

This is a picture of a workover rig that is still being worked on, there is much to do. I built my own seat and steering wheel, well, I built it all. the motor and the derrik stand that you see that have not been painted was just built. I still have to get some more parts, like pully's, and more wood for the derrik and I am also working to where I can have it raised with out using my hands to help it. In other words, I want to motorize it. I also added clear plexiglass plastic for windows, which you can not see at this moment, until I am able to take another photo during the day when the sun is out. This is all I have at this time. Remember to email me here if you have any photos or questions. llongoria@gvtc.com

Hi my viewers! These are the pictures that have been taken about a week ago outside my house. As you can see, these pictures were taken as the sun was going down and some that have been taken at night. I am still working on this project, just trying to build more parts for it that are a little complicated. I added some extra lights to give it a realistic look. At this time, I am working on where there won't be as much lights, I am trying to splice them together. Hopefully I can get back with yall sooner.
I also want to let you know, I am working on a work over rig, I don't have any pictures of it as of yet. At this point, I am not happy with the way it looks, because the wheels I made and that are on there, make the body and the cab look to big for the tires. I will try to get some pictures in soon.
If anyone has photos, send them to me in the mail. llongoria@gvtc.com
I would be interested in seeing them. It would also help me to learn what I need to do in order to build more. I will try to get some pics of workover either this Thursday or Friday. I will see yall then.

I am almost finished, i have to add a little bit to it. Sometime tomorrow or Saturday I got the whole derrik painted and I will be able to put it in.
The top photo is a picture of the whole derrik. Second photo you can see how tall it is. I haven't measured it yet. I am 5ft 6in and it is a little taller than I am. I have started painting the crown, its going to be yellow. This coming week I will put the derrik up again and you will see it's almost fully painted. Third photo...it the block that I made by hand. Its made out of wood. The photos that I will add later, will show that will also be painted. Fourth photo...Here I am standing next to the derrik. As you can see, it is taller than I am. You can probably say it is about six feet high. Fifth photo...as you can see the symbol of Cinco drilling company I like the shape and the color. This was a drilling rig symbol that used to be in operation back in probably the 70's & 80's. The guy who used to be my step father, used to work for Cinco. My father in law also worked for Cinco when he owned his own business. He was a waelder. I drew the symbol up on wood and painted it onto the wood. If anyone who sees this knows someone who has a picture or has a picture of a Cinco drilling company, I would like to know so I can see photos or maybe aquire some in the nearest future. I have been looking for some for my collection. Last picture is another picture of the block I made. I apprectiate you looking at my website. Like I said, I have seen old timey rigs built of wood but nothing like the way I am making this one. Also, it is not as easy as it looks. Also, if you know where I can get some small tiny lights I would like to put some on my derrik, but find it hard to find some. Thanks for stopping by and looking.
