Derrick

I am still working on the derrick. I am half way done. I also added the legs for the derrick.

This is the drilling rig I am working on right now. This is the structure. The second one is where I am building a derrick with it. I am making it out of wood. As far as I know, I have not seen one made out wood. Just like the one I am building right now. The ones I have seen so far are made out of old timey rigs made in about the 1950's or so.

This is a picture I took from the roof top of my house of the oil rig on the adjoining property. My father in law used to own the land but sold it in the 90's.
